Kellogg Square has great potential some nice staff and security at the front door.... or at least if you are a younger woman. However, when it comes to the ammenities on site they are majorly lacking. They have a fairly large recently remodeled laundry room however still have out of date machines and refuse to consider updating or at least adding a simple to use card machine that will allow residents to just swipe to do their laundry. That may not be such a big deal to many however the coin machine rarely works in 14 months I have seen, it work once. If you go to maintainace they will simply accuse you of using conterfeit money... not exactly the warm welcome I was looking for. The claim they have workout facilities ... well yes... if you were looking for the old equipment found in your grandmother's basement that she hasn't used since she was 23. The equipment rooms are small and in the men and womens locker room I don't see a need for the workout rooms to be seperate but to each his own. They each have about 4 machines 2 very old and worn treadmills, a stair stepper - first generation, and a bike that is so old you still have to adjust the tension by hand on the wheel. Then of course a few free weights. The saunas are also seperated in the locker rooms again no real biggy, but as for the pool nice looking newly remodeled although they really didn't change much other than retile the floor of the pool to the exact same. Now here's the kicker with that, it is frequently shut down due to "emergency repairs" is was shut down most of this summer and again two weeks ago. This is such a nice apartment complex but you have to wonder will they ever get their crap together. The actual apartments are fairly nice roomy have large windows that don't come with blinds or screens, appliances are ok with the exception of the craptastic and cheap over the range microwave. I only moved in because my fiance was living here and he didn't want to move out despite my pleas of better service, I really don't feel like paying for upscale living in downtown St Paul when nothing about the upscale works. Would I live here again well if they get their act together and quit treating the residence like criminals because you say something is not working.
