Don't rent from these people, I lived there 15 months and took good care of my apartment, even put throw rugs in the living room where I did most of my living as not to stain or wear the carpet, but after I moved I was told they need to replace it. The carpet was not replaced before I moved in. They also said something was wrong with the range even tho I did not use it that much. I never used the oven at all as I always used a toaster oven but they said parts had to be replaced. It isn't bad enough that I had to pay a full months rent even tho I moved the first week of the month, but they kept my $400. security deposit and then told me I still owed over $100. for repairs they had to make. I went to great lenghts not to damage anything as I knew I was not going to be there that long. It's another way for them to get more money out of you. My advice is to stay away from this place or expect to get ripped off when you leave. I was there only a litte over a year and they charged me over $500. when I left so I can't emagine what they will charge you if you are there any length of time. Once again, don't live there.

If you didn't catch the repairs before you moved out and let them charge you, you're a sucker! Before you move out, they give you this list of 2 billion things they'll charge you for and the prices. Pay attention and you won't get charged. I moved out and got my $400 back, luckily. I'd say you should blame yourself.
You're already paing over $800/mo for this place, why not make sure the building maintenance fixes everything before you move out? Anything else on the list is your obvious responsibility.
