We lived there for about three years. It was awful.

Yeah, they're all nice to you. But when it comes down to actually having problems' Forget it.

Maintenance regularly came into our apartment without prior notice. They also let the cats out a lot. Also, whenever somethign wasn't working, they'd come over, look at it and say it is and that we're using it wrong. We were told this about the ACs, the dishwasher and the /shower/. Had to complain till we were blue in the face to get them to actually /fix/ something.

They also have some rediculous rules, such as not being allowed to have a grill anywhere on the property. Not even in your car. Then you weren't allowed to have any charcoal, either. They say you're allowed to use the Community Grills... but not to have charcoal.

When there were any kinds of disputes with neighbours, they did /nothing/ to help resolve them.

It was pretty noisy, too. When we were looking at the place, they told us you couldn't hear the trains go by. Well, you can. A lot. There's a crossing right next to the place so they're LOUD. Also, in the summertime, there are kids all over the place.

For a while we had neighbours in the apartment under us who had two (yes, 2) baby-grand-pianos. Wouldn't be so bad, except one of their kids was terrible (the other was pretty good, which is no surprise since she practiced about 16 hours a day).

When we were living there, cars in the outdoor parking lots got broken into several times.

The dishwasher leaked. the ACs were older than me. The tiles in the shower fell off. Toilets overflowed.

Oh, did I mention that when we moved in rent was $850/month, and when we moved out it was well over $1000'

Don't live in this place.

we just looked at these. Rent on apts does not go down. EVER. The highest amt for rent there is 885. I'm betting this review was on the wrong apts.

How old are you? 16? Rent rates are as flexible as gas prices in the metro area. They fluctuate based on supply and demand. When there are a number of vacancies, they offer move in specials. For example: $100 off your monthly rent for the first year. When and if you resign your lease, your rent increases by at least $100. If you took a survey of tenants, you would find that rarely does everyone pay the same rate for the same apt. size. Some buildings even charge more or less for different floors; the higher you are, the more expensive it is because you don't have to listen to noise above you.
