this was by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. It was sold to me under the luxury living and it was anything but luxury!
It smelled like mold, and floor was always damp, caretaker cleaned all hours of the night hitting apartment door with vacuum and when you called a work order it would get fixed whenever. If it is an emergency and you called more than once the office staff seemed irritated. Maintenance would track snow and dirt onto carpet. Not to mention you were given no notice as to where apartment staff would enter and since there was always something broke emergency entrances (which described in lease) were always an excuse). But rest assured things were never fixed to your approval just patched enough to work for about a week. After the week you call back and they tell you that you broke it and you would be responsible for the repair.
I cleaned my apartment for hours making it cleaner than when I moved in and then called ahead of time to have a pre-move out inspection which did not happen and this cost me in the end because I was charged nearly $500 for cleaning fees on top of them taking my $100 deposit.
This community just started making the residents pay water a few years back. The problem with this is they tell you the average bill is approximately $10 per month. I never seen this since I lived there. Most bills were $25-30 per month. And older residents did not have to pay (meaning if 30 people lived in the building and 15 were newer residents, then the bill was paid twenty percent first by management paying (for lawn water and building related things)and then the 15 new people splitting the remainder of the bill)).
Pool was closed half the summer due to repairs and never seen anyone repair it though. But I guess the unofficial pool(in the spring)in underground parking made up for it.
I was also late for work more than 12 times because the garage door was smashed shut do to the drunk drivers plowing into it after the night out on the town.
But did not want to take my chances parking outside where you would see people having sex in cars and cars broken into so much a security guard was hired to patrol the area...
My air conditioner was broke and they replaced it but only after I put it in writing and sent it to the corporate office.
Grills were filthy and would not cook food on there for my worst enemy!!!
Lastly, be careful if they show an apartment and says yours will look just like this, make sure you do not sign unless you see the actual one you will be renting.
