I lived at Larpenteur Manor for one year in a 1-bedroom. It's walking distance to U of MN - St Paul campus. Never had a problem with parking or noise. Laundry room was sometimes crowded. Apartment was clean and well maintained. Outdoor pool was nice - usually empty and always very clean.
Staff while I was moving in was great. They had a new guy when I moved out - he took part of my security deposit and refused to return my 3 phone calls to explain why.

You're lucky -- you must have gotten out just before it got bad. Sounds like you also had problems with your security deopsit, though. I'm glad your experience was better than mine.

have you guys heard of other people having problems with their security deposits? a friend and I are trying to find an apartment building close to the St. Paul Campus but sounds like this might not be it.. any suggestions?
