I have lived at the Parkside for one year. I love the apartment, but here is the top ten list of complaints: 1. You are not assigned a storage locker. You may live on the 4th floor, but have to store your stuff on the 1st floor. You also have to walk around and find your own locker and look for one that is empty. 2. Things break a lot. My washer broke three times (hence, water EVERYWHERE) until they replaced it with a new one. Also, my dryer vents into the apartment which makes things very hot and sticky. Is that normal' Not sure on that one. 3. Management screws up a lot. A week after I moved in I had a note under my door saying "Sorry you are leaving us, we'll be showing your apartment tomorrow." WTF' 4. The 4 resident parties they promised me when I signed my lease never happened. 5. I wouldn't get a call back about something I needed to know until the THIRD message I left the office with a MENACING tone of voice...on a few separate occasions. 6. When they put signs up saying the windows will be washed/something will be done - add one week to the date they post. 7. The hallways smell like dog/cat pee. 8. The windows are very hard to open, and not all of them do. 9. The new management at the parking ramp across the street sucks. Beware of tight parking spaces and your access card not working 1/4 of the time. 10. FARMERS MARKET CONSTRUCTION. BEWARE POTENTIAL RENTERS UNTIL 2009!!!
