I have lived in Montreal Courts for about 4 years now. No, it is not the best place that I have lived and yes, I've had my share of loud neighbors. However, management has been nothing but fair with me since my family moved in. I have had problems paying my rent on occasion and as long as I was able to pay or get a guarantee by the court date, they have not only dismissed the UD but also expunged my rental record via affidavit. The management have always been nice and polite when I have contacted them either by walk-in or phone. Every maintenance request that I have entered has been completed to my satisfaction in a timely manner as well. My children have a lot of friends here and to keep them all safe (because the comments about drug activity are unfortunately accurate), my place kind of becomes the neighborhood house and that's ok.
Overall, I'm sure it is the "projects" of Little Canada but it's better than living in North Mpls or East St. Paul. The schools are very good, the park is beautiful, the onsite YMCA works hard to cater to all children/teens, and except for the parking lot, repairs are made in a timely manner.
