I wrote "Nothing fancy, but decent" after having lived here a year, and I'm still here three years later. Since I wrote, my A/C was replaced with a brand-new unit (watched 'em unpack it) and I've had a few other things fixed. My rent went up $10/mo after 3 years of remaining the same, but with the price of fuel these days, that's a pretty small increase. I should also note that I do have a 1BR with a dishwasher, so those do exist (unless I have the only one, muahaha).

All in all, I'm still pleased to live here. The neighbors are still quiet for the most part and the grounds are still neatly kept. They shampoo the carpets about twice a year or so, sweep the parking lot every spring and fall, plow the snow promptly after each snowfall (but not too promptly, you get at least one full day of notice) and just painted some new stripes on the lot this spring. They tore down the never-used tennis court and put in a new parking lot, so now we have more parking, which is nice. There was a big pothole in the main entrance near the office, but that was patched within a couple weeks.

Is it perfect' No. They could stand to update the interiors, fix up the balconies and offer a couple more amenities. But for the price range, you still get neatly-kept grounds, prompt service from the staff, and quiet neighbors who don't cause drama or make a mess. That's definitely worth the money. I feel bad for the resident whose ceiling fell in and the staff wouldn't help her--that's really crappy and not typical of my experience at all (luckily nothing's fallen in in my place, anything that broke was promptly repaired). I've had a personality conflict with Christine before, but I've found that the secret to dealing with her is to be extra-nice.
