I lived there for five month and was perfectly happy until my ceiling came caving in on my living room. Water came pouring in from five different holes in the ceiling. When I contacted management, they said they'd fix my apartment in 5 days but they took two and a half weeks to fix my ceiling and they left my apartment in such disarray, ceiling pieces everywhere, 3 huge fans blowing at the ceiling, plastic floor coverings on 3/4 of my living room,all living room furnitures pushed into the kitchen,etc (while under construction)that it was unliveable for my 17 month old son and I. When I asked them to lower my month's payment for the two weeks that I had to live somewhere else, management disagreed. Then I said, "Okay, since I have had such bad experiences with this unit, can you please move me to another unit'" The management lady, Christine, gave me a bull ---- answer. She said, "Well...there isn't any units open right now and even if we move you to another unit, you'll have to put down another security deposit and sign a new lease." I was so fed up with her lies that I called corporate (Midcontinent Management) and the lady there argued with me too. I told her that according to Minnesota's rental laws, I should not be held countible for something that I had no control over (ceiling falling down)and when I am living in unliveable/ unsafe environment, I have every right to tell management to move me to another unit and management can not refuse my request. Still they didn't care. I was so pissed off I bought out my lease. I'm never going there ever again not will I refer these apartments to anyone else!
