Don't enter without a gas mask and gloves...

I moved to Oakdale Village on short notice. At the time, I thought the management was friendly and approachable. However, once I moved in, I felt they were unresponsive and very unhelpful. My neighbors would keep me up until well past midnight with their screaming (profanity, crying, etc.), to the point where the police were called. I ended up calling the police four times on them, with the management team being fully aware of this, and it took SEVEN months for management to actually move them (notice, they were not evicted, just moved so someone else has to deal with them). The people above me play music until early morning, and I can usually hear every conversation they have. The walls are extremely thin, and you can hear the slightest movement. The hallways smell so bad that I literally gag when I enter them. I have begun to breathe out of my mouth so as not to inhale the stench of, what my friend referred to as, "a circus barn." The hot water heater went out twice in the dead of winter, and the fire department was also called twice due to tenants inability to cook something without starting a fire. You can hear dogs barking frequently, and tenants have a problem cleaning up after them. The front door's "security" lock was broken for about a month. The smell of smoke from surrounding apartments is so strong I have six air fresheners going in my apartment at all times. Management lost my rent check and I had to do a stop payment on it and they never return my phone calls. I told management I was having anxiety attacks living here, and that if I needed a doctor's note to get out of my lease, I could. Not only did management say I could not get out of my lease, they said I could move (due to my neighbors) but would have to PAY a fee! This has been the longest year of my life. Bottom line: the place is cheap, smelly, dirty, and embarrassing (so are most of the tenants). gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
