I've lived here for two years. I lived through the construction (the worthless construction that only "fixed" the exteriors and made the place an ugly shade of green!) and they should have paid US to live here when that was going on. Now, these places are going downhill. They're letting anybody move in. People play loud music all the time, unattended children run screaming in the hallways all hours of the day and night, and yes, the smoking IS an issue. I don't smoke but my roommate does, and even we agree it's too smoky here. She doesn't smoke on my deck, and I keep my windows closed. But when I do go on my deck it's like going into a smoky bar. Ew. And maintenance takes their dear sweet freaking time for everything.
Oh, and they allow dogs now, so you get to listen to people's sad little pooches who get left in their apartments all day barking up a freaking storm.
And if you decide to move here, watch out for the geese. Pondview=on a pond=craploads of geese blocking the road all the time. And they don't move when you honk.
The only good thing about the building is the lovely older caretaker woman (in 2585 at least). She is awesome. She keeps the place spotless, and she's such a great person. She keeps everyone in line!
