Fairly nice

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
We moved out of Eagle Pointe in the last few months. We lived there over a year. There were some parts of living there that weren't so great, and some that were pretty good. We lived in the main building (2044) on the 3rd floor. The price wasn't horrible although I hear they have raised rent since we had moved in.
Common areas:
The indoor pool was nice to have, although the sauna didn't work. There is also an outdoor pool, but we never used it. The fitness center is nothing to get too excited about. The laundry room wasn't kept too clean, and they raised the cost of washing and drying. When we looked at the apartment they must have just cleaned because the halls, stairs, walls, and elevator were typically dirty or had stains and holes. The garage was dirty and smelled badly - I think they have now installed cameras so hopefully there won't be break ins (we never had one). It was still convenient to park underground and walk directly into the building in the winter. There was plenty of outdoor parking too.
Apartment:
The floor plans were nice except for the kitchen which is tiny and cramped. They are replacing a lot of the kitchens but it isn't going to make them any bigger! There is plenty of closet space and the bathrooms are roomy and equipped with easy to clean showers. The air conditioner didn't do much to keep the temperature under 90 in the summer. In the winter it was either really cold or really hot. We seldom heard neighbors, and when we did they were in the hallway passing by.
Staff/Maintenance:
The staff were generally great. They were able to be flexible with working out a payment arraignment when we knew rent would be difficult for us to make. They helped us find a new place when we needed to move to a new area. They responded to all of our emergency calls promptly and worked to get the issue resolved. They even replaced our broken fridge within an hour after we called at 11pm. They tried to get the heat right, but being water heat it took days for adjustments to take effect. They didn't get every thing perfect, obviously they didn't keep up on the common areas like they should have.
