If you like spiders, noise, and don't mind dirt and odors, you'll be fine here.

It might not be the case in every apartment, but in mine... there was an infestation of spiders constantly, I was literally killing 3 or 4 EVERYDAY. You can hear everything that goes on the apartments above/around you... entire phone conversations, them using the bathroom, getting sick, etc... all of it.

Keeping the place warm and cool was a fairly outrageous expense, too... not something I was anticipating.

The apartment wasn't clean when I moved in... it hadn't been painted or anything and there was a lingering nasty odor that was still there when I moved out... despite me trying everything I could think of to clean and deodorize.

The maintenance guys - Chris and Danny - are AWESOME.

Not having many choices in Arnold, I know you take whatever you can get - that's how I ended up there - but be VERY choosy about your apartment, and make sure you actually get to walk through THAT apartment before you agree to take it.

I am the manager at Ricardson Place Apartments and if this previous resident had all of these problems it was never called to the attention of the office team. We exterminate all apartments 3 times per year and if there is an additional problem the resident should to call the office and maintenance will do additional extermination. As far as the painting of the apartment, every apartment at Richardson Place is painted upon move out, before the new resident moves in. Also, it is the policy of our management company, The Lipton Group, to do a walk through of the apartment with the resident upon move in to make sure the resident is happy with their new home. If this resident was not happy and had concerns with issues in their apartment they should have contacted the office and the problem(s) would have been taken care of immediately. Please remember apartment living is not for everyone and no matter what apartment community you live in you are going to hear your neighbors from time to time. The team at Richardson Place works very hard to make sure all of our residents are happy and have a pleasant place to call home.
