First off, let me just say that Tracey is very good at selling these apartments. What I mean by that is that she makes this place sound like it's too good to be true. I have found out otherwise. Initially moving in, I find out that there are no light fixtures in any of the rooms other than the kitchen, hallway and bathroom. Also to my surprise, the carpet was old with stains, the walls haven't been repainted, the bathroom and the second bedroom are on the same breaker (meaning all outlets are on the same electrical line which is highly susceptible to overload), the toilet tilts forward, the washer and dryer closet stinks of mold and mildew, cockroaches, insufficient, or shall I say, wasted amount of cabinet space, little refrigerator, dish washer doesn't open and close all the way due to the stove not being able to sit closer to the wall, ONE CABLE OUTLET THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE APARTMENT COMPLEX (I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH!!!) (that means that you share one line with 9 other apartments so if you depend on the internet or cable don't expect to get uninterrupted services because there isn't a day that goes by without the cable being messed up or getting kicked off the server)(I was kicked off 3 times while typing this), there is a hole on the outside of this apartment where the roof leaks water and provides a place for the birds to nest, storage closets outside don't open or close without breaking a sweat or getting it to lock for that matter, vandalism is an issue here or simply trying to fit all of your furniture and belongings into a floor level apartment because they won't fit due to the stair case that stands in front of the door, maintenance will come into the apartments without informing the tenants, plus whatever it is that you have a work order for WILL NOT GET FIXED, all they do is give you excuses as to how to tolerate it. Let's see,...what else am I forgetting, Charter (the cable company is a pain in the ass and charge you for every time a technician comes to your apartment which is frequently or shall I say almost daily around here), there is no Charter telephone service in these apartments, because management will not let them set up any phone lines here, but you can go through AT&T (which means you are going to deal with 2 providers, one for internet and cable, the other for telephone, therefore you will have to pay more instead of getting a bundle package)you have to provide proof of renter's insurance just to cover Richardson's rear end, so whenever a water line busts, or an outlet catches on fire, they are not held responsible and they expect you to pay for the damages! There are at least 10 apartments in each complex so please think about that! That means that there are at least 9 other people living in the same building!! So in other words,...it's GRAND CENTRAL STATION here! Don't expect to get a parking spot anywhere in front after 5pm or even get a full nights sleep around here due to the RAIL ROAD TRACKS THAT RUN RIGHT BEHIND THE APARTMENTS. I am not over exaggerating this one either. You can literally throw a coke can at the train while it passes and it would probably hit it. The trains run through at least twice an hour and during all hours of the night. With that being said, you are constantly thinking that it's an earthquake until you hear the train toot it's horn to reassure you. If you can tolerate all of this plus the neighbors dogs barking all the time, or the neighbors just being loud in general and occasionally stepping in dog poop, then I would say, what the hell. As for me, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Kris the property manager (and I hate to call her that because she doesn't manage anything...literally) is not willing to help out anybody and is always rude and unprofessional. Don't expect Kris or Tracey to answer the phone in the leasing office because they won't. You must walk up there anytime you have an issue because they don't return phone calls. Oh and I forgot to mention that it took over a week before we received the keys to our mail box. I had to flag the mail lady down just to get my mail for awhile. If you don't mind not being able to look out your front window, due to the neglected overly grown bush shrubs that sit directly in front of them, then I would say that you have lived in an apartment before and have patience of steel!! Please take my experience into consideration when debating on whether to move into Richardson Place. They are overly priced here and you pay for EVERYTHING!!! Mark my words on that!
