My husband attacked me after I locked him out and was threatened to have the cops called on me if I didn't let him in. He beat me up and fled. The maintenance workers saw him trying to kick in the apartment door. They did nothing about HIM. They finally let me off the lease, after a lot of struggle. Only because of this posting, however, was I finally let off. I wouldn't be surprised if they allow him to resign a lease when the current one is up.

I really hope you filed charges against your husband! Then filed for divorce. If the Apartment say him beating you and did nothing that is just ashame.

It is a shame that your husband would do that but I do not see how the apartment is responsable to break up your abusive relationship. IDK I guess I could be wrong but what were they suppose to do? I am assuming you were in the lease together, its not like they can kick him out of his own apartment, seems more like a personal problem than anything. Next time don't threaten to call the police just call first thing. Or better yet hopefully you do not talk to him anymore so there wont be a next time.
