I moved into a ground floor apartment in late 2007. At that time management was very good and responded to maintenance requests. The apartments were purchased by another company in 2008. Around the same time a family moved into the apartment above me. Noise and unsupervised kids became an issue every day. I complained to management several times and their response each time was they will write a letter. There has been no change. I've given up on management doing anything. Just want the rent money.
I saw another review here concerning brown recluses. I trapped 24 last year using sticky traps. They sprayed and it help reduce the problem. I've killed 3 so far this year.
I've learned that apartment living is like rolling dice when it comes to neighbors. You can either have good or bad neighbors. The current management does not appear it can or will do anything about bad neighbors. I will be moving out soon. Be careful when renting an apartment here. Check out who your new neighbors will be by driving by at different times during the week if you can.
