I have been living at Village Park of Ballwin since April of 2006. I picked the apartment because of the large one bedroom and living room space. I was charged extra for the fake wood dining room floor, when i was told it was included. Loved the big windows and spacious bedroom and living room. The Kitchen is way too small, there is no space for anything. My heater and AC has stopped working many times. And everytime i call for maintance, this maintanence guy comes 5 hours to a day later. One time, he actually called me and told me he wouldnt make it, he had to take care of his daughter, and couldnt leave her alone. Maintance is a 24/7 job, dont get a job doing this, if you cant be available when people need you. I had to sleep in 50 degree weather that night because of this dumbass. This guy rude most of the time, like if i deliberately broke the thermostat for the heater. Then tried to tell me, he wouldnt come up again, and that i would have to buy a digital one, for another 15 dollars a month!! WTF! I told him no, your going to fix it! Its seems like they switch managers all the time. I have talked to so many people in that office. They try to jip you when you renew your lease. BECAREFUL! DONT TAKE A HIGH RENT ! I was on a 3 month lease, paying 770, and the specialist tried to raise my rent to 790 for a 6 month lease. WHAT!' im getting a longer lease, why is my rent more!'! he tried to say the prices went up! yea right! I got my rent back down to a more reasonable price. Another complaint i have is, the smell of smoke coming through the pipes. If i dont put the plug in the sinks, my apartment starts to smell like the smoke infested apartment from the elderly chain smoker downstairs. Yuck! Besides all that, i havent had any other problems. I feel safe, nothing has been stolen, or broken into. I have a good view and great parking. The Staff is nice , when it doesnt involve takin my money or renewing my lease. I would recommend it for someone who is looking for a one or 2 bedroom apartment in ballwin. It has a great location for manchester road and all its stores. I might have another review, after i move out, we will see.

Your rent automatically goes up after the end of your lease term. They tell you that going in. Every apartment is like that. Granted, I left this place b/c of the same reason, but I expected it. You shouldn't bash them for that reason. This place is not bad. For the record, I never had any problems with heating or cooling. It's a grab bag I guess.
