Bad experience with deposit

Upon moving, I was not granted my full and just deposit. I had to pay for something that was never in my contract. I was going to have to forfeit more of my deposit, but I had to call several times and complain about the unjust treatment I was receiving. I was told that I could "pursue getting my money in other ways." I was treated wrongly and I still have not received my full deposit I deserved. Also, a woman I knew had a tough time trying to get things fixed in her apartment. It took a very long time for the situations to get fixed. The rent is very reasonable although it costs about as much to cool my two story home with central air as it did with the AC unit in the Hampton Place Apartment.
