We have lived in the aprtments going on 2 years... Our Plumbing is so screwed up and every other month we have to make REPEATED calls to have them come and stop the Hot water from leaking in the tub, get it unstopped to allow water to drain, and well every 2 months or so we have to again make REPEATED calls to the office to have them fix the garbage disposal because it stops working and does not even allow the water to drain! Be prepared to remove snow in the winter and pay around $300 or more for the gas bill because well the windows are only about 40yrs old!! Yes, the rent is cheap but does not mean that you must live within MOLD, Leaking roofs..(yep called about this too) storage in basement leaks water on peoples washing machines, down the walls and so on... Noise is horrible even living in an upstairs apartment. I try not to complain much because the maintence people can either be really nice or just plain rude. I called after hours one day because I have small children and of course my hot water was leaking in the bathroom (BTW it is EXTREMELY hot) and the guy told me that I should learn to call before hours..WTF I just got home and noticed it and I have to pay the gas bill and I am not taking the chance to have my children burnt!
I have had actual people in the office tell me that some of them that take the maintence orders may forget to put them in but say that they have! I am not asking for Sympathy only facing REALITY!! Be prepared for the WORSE!!
