A TASTE OF HELL

THIS IS A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PLACE
NOTE: This place tells you that "quality" is their pledge.
I have lived here for just over three years. When my seven months pregnant wife and I first moved in, the woman who was handling our information and dealing with us, showed us an apartment that was "identical" to the one we would be placed in. She told us that we were waiting to hear back from their corporate office. When our move-in date was less than a week away, we still hadn't heard back. When I called to ask, she told me they were still waiting to hear back. I called again, 5 minutes after I first called, and someone else told me that she was had just sent our information (we were lied to). Also, she was supposed to show us the exact apartment before having us sign. The manager told us that the woman "helping" us said that she had shown us that apartment (another lie). When we moved into our apartment, we were both almost completely unable to breathe. We don't know what it was, but we think that it was mold (only think, not know). We told the office this and they moved us to another unit that was updated and much better. I later spoke to the manager and expressed all the problems we had and she took a fair amount off of our rent for that month.
After two months, a window was busted out of my car and about 500 cds were stolen.
After about a year we noticed that the drain pipe for our apartment (toilet, sinks, bath/shower) and the apartment below us was leaking in the basement. Everything that went down the drain was leaking onto our dryer and the floor. After 2 or 3 weeks of calling about it, they told us they would have it fixed in 2 weeks. It took 4 weeks before they got it fixed.
The office has almost an entirely different staff ever 6-12 months. I have dealt with around a dozen different office employees and 3 different managers. The office staff are mostly all liars. The only one that was ever honest and trustworthy to me no longer works there.
Last month my neighbor was shot at in the back yard by some stupid little teenage kids. When I called to ask the office if anything was being done to increase security and I was told that the police were patrolling the neighborhood. They had been doing that since before we moved in. The neighborhood has been looking a little better but I cannot wait to get out of here. I hope this company goes bankrupt and sells the properties to a company that will treat it's tennants with respect and dignity.
DON'T MOVE HERE!
