I've been living at Baxter Crossings going on five years now. It used to be the best place to live! Like the previous reviews mentioned Baxter always had a resort like feel. Everyone was warm and inviting (everyone knew one another). The old management was always good about negotiating with rent increases (taking into consideration the economy ect..) and really treating you on a personal level. They hosted pool parties, wine trips, bowling parties, happy hours, beautiful balcony contest, monthly bingo game...the list goes on and on. The clubhouse was open early everyday with fresh coffee, goodies and the daily newspaper. The pool and hot tub were open year round and the property over all was above and beyond well groomed and clean. Since Baxter Crossings has been under new management everything has changed to the negative!! They no longer have any type of activities what so ever!! the pool is closed and will be only open from Memorial day to Labor day (even though it's a privately owned). The office hours have been cut extremely short! Every time I call up there the machine picks up and it seems they are ALWAYS closed. The staff acts like they have no clue what's going on. They are rude and cold. I honestly think they have no apartment management skills what so ever!! The property does seem to be a bit trashier and not cared for. Not to mention the buildings are being painted this horrible cream and dull green color. Which is done very poorly there is over spray everywhere! The new management seems VERY LOW BUDGET!! Definitely not a Chesterfield/West County feel. I also heard rent was going up so I called to verify and the girl I spoke to acted as if I was bothering her. She quickly said yes! it's going up at minimum twenty five dollars no questioned asked. It was very strange, I'm definitely looking to move. All I can say is I MISS THE OLD BAXTER CROSSINGS :(
