Schoettler Village is a pretty good place to live, with a few problems here and there. On a positive note, the apartments are HUGE, almost too much space. There is always ample parking, and it is located in a nice neighborhood in Chesterfield. Staff is pretty friendly.
On the negative side, pets are allowed...so needless to say over 50% of residents have dogs. This means lots of poop and inconsiderate owners who do not clean up after their pets. Plus, my neighbors downstairs have a big dog that barks ALL THE TIME and has kept me awake at night on numerous occasions. Maintenance is hit or miss... I have had occasions where they showed up the same day and occasions when it has taken almost a month to get something fixed. Also, in the summer there was a ton of construction going on at all times, so if you have a day off during the week forget about sleeping in past 7 a.m.
Overall, I have had a pretty positive experience here, if you factor out the incessent barking of the dogs and a few other things.
