Maybe some of these other people didn't really live at Westmont. I used to live in a complex where if I went to the laundry room (which there was only one for 800 apartments) I was the only one who spoke English and have no reason to believe the "Little Mexico" post for Westmont.
If you think it is horrible to offer rent discounts, then go live somewhere equally or less nice and pay more.
I have been very happy, every problem that I have had has been fixed quickly and without hesitation.

I'd rather go to a main laundry room than use 25 year old washer and dryers that don't clean your clothes and are absolutely noisy as can be.
