Decent if you don't have much money.

Campus View (formerly college park), is a decent place to live in if you are looking for a cheap place to live. I pay a little over 300 for the rent, all the utilities and cable in my 4 bedroom. It can get noisy on the weekends, but it depends on who your neighbors are. This year they have been quiet, but in the past we've had some rowdy people banging on my bedroom wall, which is on the first floor right next to the walkway. Parking is great, there are a ton of places to park and I haven't heard of anyone's car getting broken into. They just got a new tanning bed, which is quite nice and the fitness center has a couple of bikes, two treadmills, three eliptical machines and a bench and squat machine. It's ok, but it's no rec center. The tennis courts are so bad though. You may as well play in the parking lot with the number of cracks in the court, the basketball and volleyball courts are usable though.
On the downside they don't let you have grills on your porch. They've been strict about this all year long. The bedrooms are small compared to most duplexes in Columbia, but if you are just using it to sleep and maybe do some homework, it's big enough, but don't expect to have any guests drop by your room. Also, the bus goes right to the complex and drops off on providence a couple of blocks from the business school. This is definitely the way to get to campus. It's quick, cheap and fairly convenient. You're going to wait for the bus if you drive to Hearnes anyway, so you might as well just take the bus that comes by the apartment.
The place isn't a thing of beauty though, the porches are supported by posts because some of the columns have crumbled and the landscaping often has beer cans and cigarettes all around, especially after weekends.
My biggest advice is to have roommates that you know because the roommate matching service didn't work out for me. They matched me and my buddy, who are both very clean, with two very dirty guys, but other than that I have no major complaints. It's a pretty good deal if you get the 4 bedroom. However, if you look a little harder, you can find a bigger duplex for about the same price.
Also, I haven't checked out yet, so I don't know how -----ish they are about that, but my two friends that moved out last year had no problems.
