If you want cheap college-style living then Campusview is fine. They do have free parking which apparently many other places don't and the $260-280 rent is actually a LOT cheaper than much else you will find. Don't get sucked in the with Rec Center, pool, tennis courts, etc. bit. The pool is closed from September-May which is when most people are there for school. The Rec "Room" is just that, a room with a few treadmills. The tennis, b-ball, and volleyball courts are way back away from 2/3 of the buildings and mostly cracked and not well-maintenanced. I never used any of the amenities anyways because I was busy with school and work like most people will be. It's a bit noisy on the weekends, but unless you're a really light sleeper, you won't notice. The balconies are pretty private. It's a crapshoot with how new the furniture/appliances are. I know a friend whose bed, couch, and chair all broke within his time there and everyone I know had trouble with the dryers not drying anything without 2-3 full cycles. Maintenance is pretty good about fixing things promptly, but in 9 months I was there we put in 10-12 requests because stuff breaks a lot. It's moderately clean during the week, but it can get pretty cluttered with beer cans, cigarette butts, and other garbage on the weekends. If your bedroom faces west, as mine did, pad the window sills with towels because they LEAK anytime there is a thunderstorm. It's also very drafty in the winter. Utilities are a rip-off. I think they take prices out of a hat because no matter how well we regulated heat/AC and turned lights off at night or on weekends we were gone, the bills never seemed to go down, only up in the peak of summer and winter. Finally, if you're underage and plan on drinking, be CAREFUL. I knew 2 or 3 kids who got MIPs just sitting on their balconies and there is a cop who lives there and patrols now and again looking for people drinking. If you keep things quiet and stay inside for the most part, you should be ok, but it's not like East Campus or anything. Overall it was very tolerable and a good place to live for the price.
