Chateau Apartments are in a quiet, safe neighborhood, but that's about the only thing they have going for them. Nothing is well maintained-not the apartments, not the grounds, not the appliances. It's difficult to get ahold of the onsite manager; even though the emergency number is her cell phone, she often doesn't answer it and rarely calls back without additional prompting. I've lived here for roughly six weeks, and there are problems that still are not fixed despite the fact they existed before I even moved in. Additionally, from what I've seen and been told, she doesn't use the most reputable persons to fix problems. The manager has told me that the apartment complex has recently been bought by a new company; I don't know exactly when this happened or if the old owners were any better. It's just frustrating because this place is really expensive ($485 for a one bedroom) and yet trying to get anything fixed is almost impossible, despite the fact that the management is onsite and there is supposedly a maintenance man who works here daily (I still have yet to see any sign of him, and every time something has happened that I need immediately taken care of, he is conveniently off work that day...). I really wouldn't recommend living here; although the neighborhood is nice, it's just entirely too expensive for the lack of service that you get.
