Get over it! I have never heard such whining. You are RENTING in a COLLEGE town. I have lived at the Colony now for four years (3 undergrad and now my first year of grad). For the same price I could rent a bedroom at one of those new places (w/ roomies I don't know) I have a two bedroom with a fireplace. And speaking of those new places out south, have you ever visited there after dark-nothing but screaming college kids partying constantly. The city has not adjusted the infastructure to accomodate all of this new traffic to and from campus- so plan on be late. I'm staying at the Colony where my drive is five minutes to campus, I see girls in the office every day, my apartment is huge and I have it all to myself. Good luck with the belly aching and finding a mansion to rent in a gated community for $400 per month.

What gated community are you referring to?? I hope not the colony. Yea, the doors have codes, but I, along with everyone else, knew the codes to half the buildings. Furthermore, the door to get into my building was broken for 3 months. THREE MONTHS!!! So anyone could have just waltzed in as they pleased. (and they did) Maintainence was fast, but inefficient, they had to come back multiple times. And I don't know why, but the inside of the 2 bedroom complexes look wayyy better than those with 1 bedroom...go figure. For the amount I was paying in utilities to let all my heat leak out of the windows in the winter time, this place just is NOT worth the money. There are much nicer, cleaner, safer, more accomodating, reasonably priced places in Columbia, even up north. Trust me, I found MANY!! I should have looked harder the first time around. Oh well, you live and you learn.
