I enjoyed living at Forest Village the most during my time in Columbia, out of three rental properties.

The smallest of the two-bedroom apartments provided a great amount of space for a price I'll likely never come close to finding again. For two people, it would be cramped, but space won't be an issue for one. It was quiet enough, the parking lot had enough space and was cleared/salted in the winter.

I had a couple of maintenance issues (air conditioner leak and running toilet) that were taken care of promptly, and they improved the laundry facilities over my stay with no increase in rent.

The only negative I found for this apartment was a bug issue, thanks to the "forest" location. Leaving a door open to pay a delivery guy might let some insects in, and it took me awhile to discover a hole underneath the window sill that was allowing some pests in.

Other than that, I had no other issues with my stay and would recommend FV to others. No bad experiences with Dan Hagan or other members of the management to report. I had a complicated cross-country move-out that required me to leave earlier than my stuff, and they were more than helpful in accommodating me.

Unlike another property which gave me 10 percent of my security deposit back despite my spending an entire day scrubbing, vacuuming and spackling, Hagan management gave me my deposit back in full w/o requiring me to fill in nail holes and the like. And when my current property required Hagan to fill out a recommendation form, they responded within the hour giving my landlord the go-ahead.

It may not look like anything special, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a place in Columbia that's actually worth the price. I'm paying a couple hundred dollars more now for one less bedroom, so don't take it for granted.
