I live in the sister community "The Colony" - they're all run by the same people. Where to begin....

1. HUGE noise problem. After six or seven complaints (I lost track after a while), they finally sent the offending people one notice. I was worried about being considerate when I first moved in, but now I just play my stereo whenever.

2. Not located in a very good part of town, so unless you like fearing for your safety after dark, don't live here.

3. I haven't been able to take a shower for several days in my own home because there's a major problem with my plumbing that hasn't been fixed. The management of course claims no responsibility for this, and after three calls to maintenance still nobody has even come to look at it.

4. EXTREMELY THIN WALLS!!! I moved here to get out of the dorms at Mizzou. I say that honestly the dorms are a lot more quiet than this hellish nightmare. Loud music from cars in the parking lots and loud arguing in the halls at all hours. Nobody has any sort of consideration for anybody else!!

5. At check-in, they claim they've already looked at the apartment, and you don't have to do anything. I stupidly accepted this, and now I'm afraid I'll be charged at check out for holes in the carpet, marks in the walls, etc. that I never did.
