It's too bad

I lived in Tiger Village for 5 years and was satisfied with the management, aside from them losing my rent check one month, and a mix up with the utilities that resulted in my power getting cut off. But wanting to upgrade to a newer apartment with central air I transferred to Gatehouse. I am not sure if management changed when I moved or what, but now the staff is arrogant and manipulating. My closet doors were FALLING OFF so of course I called to get it fixed... four months later and they never got fixed. I finally did it myself. And three months after I moved in they said it was time to renew. It seems without telling me verbally I signed a lease for only three months. It's partly my fault for not reading that 10 page (legal sized paper, 8 point font) lease before signing. I thought they'd TOLD me all the major elements of the deal. So now I am stuck in the complex three months longer than I'd planned.
And what's up with the lack of a drainage system' There are virtual lakes after every rainfall. There was an actual current in the parking lot last week! It's an obstacle course just getting to my mailbox.
The pools are fine, if they are unlocked. And there are only three (broken down) lounge chairs.
On the small plus side I like my apartment and the location is good. My neighbors are noisy too but I am usually awake anyway.
The set up is nice and it really could be a great community to live in. It's just too bad they can't live up to it.

Accidents happen, always read/understand a legal document before signing it, and I visited a friend there two weeks ago and they have great pool furniture. The pool is clean too, unlike alot of other places in town. When my friend and I went to the office for a guest pass I thought all of the people were really nice which is more then I can say about where I live. In fact, when my choppy one page lease is up I might move to Gatehouse.

You must have been in the front complex. There are two pools. One is ignored. And until you have rain water flowing in your bedroom window and no access to your paid for parking space, you have no room to review.
