OH where to start...
I am a 1st year graduate student from IL and could only make a one day trip to find an apartment for the 2006-2007 school year. I ended up here. The place looks ok; kitchen could use updating though. The first day I moved in the air wasn't working properly. They fixed that relatively soon. Next, my dishwasher didn't work. It was out of use for about THREE WEEKS before the part came in. Now it works but lives a gross, hard residue on practically all the dishes. Next, my garbage disposal stopped working. That got fixed about 2 weeks later but it's extremely loud and rattles the whole kitchen counter. After that my toilet wasn't flushing properly (the chain broke). That was fixed promptly but it runs randomly, even when it hasn't been flushed for hours. Next comes the reason I'm writing: with some wintry weather, my apartment beginning leaking or should I say pouring. The carpet in both bedrooms was mushy from being drenched in water. I bought my own supplies to protect my handmade furniture. They told me it was just b/c of the snow. I get back from Christmas break and two days later IT STARTS LEAKING AGAIN when we had only had about an inch of ice. Also, all of this leaking started just before finals week. THey sure as hell didn't care though. ONly after I got my mom involved did action begin--and that was only bringing in a fan. The manager is a 20-something punk ass who is downright rude and should not be working with people. I am completely irrate and counting the days until I get to move out of here. I can't wait to see what kind of crap they pull at move out time
