Worst Living Experience EVER

Where do I begin...when I moved into the Links I was promised a luxary apartment that was brand new. Although the unit we moved into was brand new it was very poorly constructed. For example: the sink and the tub in the bathroom clogged up a lot making it so you have to snake them once a month to get them to drian; the molding/base borads that are suppose to run along the wall(where the wall curves) separates to form a huge gap where crickets and spiders like to hide; the carpet was really cheap and ratty mushing down quickly and forming stains when nothinghad been spilled making the carpet look old and gisgusting; the doors throughout the apt are not actually doors they are wooden fames with plighwood stuck to the sides so come apart easily; the oven and mircowave was not finished being put together and we had to do it ourselves; my front door and porch door was not installed properly so they had huge gaps letting air in/out and contributing to our enormous electric bills. The locks on my front door were not installes properly and someone easily walked into my house one weekend and stole all of my DVD's that were still sitting in a box on the floor because I had just moved in that week. When I went to talk to the office staff about it, they did not even say sorry or offer some kind of compensation for my loss due to their locks. Really just a sorry would have been better than the blank stare and non-sympathetic response from management.

Management is rediculous. You can most likely catch them sitting in the lounge, that is right next to the business office, so if your trying to work on homework or work related things you will be destracted by the heckling and screaming of the office staff as they gather to watch American Idol and eat chinese food together. This is very annoying when you have something important to work on at what they call the "residents clubhouse".

Half way through our lease the property split into a north side and a south side calling the north side of Clark lane 'The Greens' and a notice was sent around to notify us that we were now a part of a different community. What a hassle. The tanning beds are never cleaned by staff but expected to get cleaned by residents. The staff never tells you that and no one ever does it so who knows if you are laying in someone elses sweat, gross. Although the features of the clubhouse are great they are not well taken care of, the pool always has random people who are not even residents hanging around, creepy.

My biggest compliant and soncern was the windows in our unit! They are metal framed, SINGLE pained glass windows so you can imagine how much cold air they let in running my electrisity bill up to $200 in the winter time. They also, due to the metal would create condinsation around the enitre inside of the window seal(enough to sop up a whole towel) and the we couldn't stop it from coming so with all the water that sat around all day everyday, came mold growing in every window of our apt. This was not only disgusting but a hazzard. Being allergic to mold I was sick or had headches all winter. Don't waste your time trying to clean the mold either. The stained window seal is very difficult to clean leaving behind black streaks and as soon as you cean it more water will come and bring more mold and it will grow back. I gave a $250 security deposit and I only got back $95 of it.

The road/traffic to get to the Links was a dangerous and poorly managed project. Clark Lane was torn up all year and the golf course that we were promised was never fully opened. The road it self was a terrible tragedy and dangerous to drive on, especially guring high water.

Overall this terrible place is no place to call home. BEWARE of the money stealing, lowscale, aweful excuse for a apt complex. This most definently the worst living experience of my life. I have never wanted to move out of a place this bad before. I never felt comfortable or safe in this place.

#1: Quality, #2: Management, #3: Environmet. The Links has a long way to go, before the probably get shut down.
