Welcome to the threshold of HELL!

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
Thank God I move out at the end of this month! That alone is probably the best Christmas gift that I will get this year. Where do I start''
How about with the cable and internet. I hope you don't like watching your favorite TV shows, because the channels randomly change while you are watching them. Get used to watching the Home Shopping Network, because it randomly takes over many of the main channels. I might as well put these jerkoffs at Lindsey Communications on my fav 5 because I call them so much. They are always "working on it" and if you show any sign of frusteration they start to c.ock an attitude with you. The one guy said my television wasn't getting good service because I had a HD TV and a regular box TV in the same apartment and that they were taking signals away from each other... and there was nothing they could do about it. That is just simply a bunch of BS. Finally I got him to send someone out. I called on Wednesday and they weren't even scheduled to come and check it out until Monday. On Monday, no one showed up so I called them. They said no one was coming because the technician (WHO LIVES IN OKLAHOMA) ran into some bad weather in the state he was in. That's right.. everytime there is a problem with your cable/internet, they wait for the technician to drive in from freaking Oklahoma. If you rent from the Links, you are forced to rent cable and internet from them. When you move in, they will tell you that basic cable is provided for free. WRONG. Basic cable includes 19 channels, which 7 of them are news channels, 5 of them are paid programming/Home Shopping Network.
I laughed when I was reading other reviews.. because they are all 100% true. It's impossible to vacuum due to the cheap, horrible carpets. It clogs your vacuum and shoots out chunks of fibers. I understand they are "new" but it should never break your vacuum. Our refrigerator sounds like a bus station when it makes ice. We filled out a form in the office 3 times to have it fixed. Each time they say they "fixed it" but it just got louder...and louder each time. Also, there are a lot of creepy people walking around the complex and we couldn't get mail for a week due to them hanging out by the mail house at night. It also sucks that everytime you go to the clubhouse to use the computers the "hard working staff" is always on them looking up facebook. You can't get any work done in the clubhouse because the staff is so f-ing obnoxious and are yelling and screaming to each other stories. They do have a lot of clubhouse holiday parties... but it's pretty much a staff party with all of there families and you feel like the odd one out. I'm sure they probably have these parties to get you out of the apartment so they can rob you. I am almost positive the staff was behind all of the robberies. It's pretty sad when you are a 25 year old man and always double check to make sure your doors are dead bolted before you go sit down. We were afraid to leave our stuff here when we went home for Thanksgiving Break. And don't plan on playing all 9 holes of golf because the golf carts run out half way through the course. They also rent out golf carts to residents who don't even play golf. You see random people driving around the course when you are playing and will randomly pick up your ball.
Also, when we first moved into The Links, they tried shoving us into a corner lot apartment where there were cigerette butts, bags of trash and beer bottles everywhere. After having to get out parents involved and the office staff telling us there was absolutely no other unit that we could move in to... there magically appeared an empty apartment and they changed it for us. Come to find out, there are plenty of empty apartments on the Greens side. Also, they did have a street cleaner. All the street cleaner did was brush the nails and glass out of the middle of the parking lot INTO the actual parking spaces. I got a couple of flat tires due to all the nails in the parking lot. Most street cleaners suck up a lot of the trash on the streets...not brush them off to the sides (especially in the parking spaces!!)
Also, when you go to the pool in the summer there are a lot of locals that come to the pool and it seems they bring the rest of the trailer park with them. If you are lucky, maybe you will see Cousin Eddie with his freaking trailer parked outside the pool.
Now the positives... There is plenty of parking and they cut the grass a lot. They start cutting grass at 7 a.m. (you don't need and alarm clock...just go by the lawnmower). That's about it.
God help anyone who moves in here. The only reason I posted anonymously is because I am sure the lame staff who is on the computers 24/7 in the clubhouse look this up and will try and charge me when I move out. If there is any positive review on here, it is the staff making them up so that they don't have an overall review under zero.
