Me and 2 girls signed a lease with UP for a whole year. We were excited about how close it was to campus and downtown. We lasted 3 months. One of my roommates got bedbugs, which cost her a lot in medical bills because she kept going to the doctor because she couldn't figure out what was going on with her. Once we figured it out, they came and sprayed after we put up a big enough stink about it. According to our research on the web, you're supposed to spray all surrounding apartments to completely get rid of the bugs, and they refused to do that. Fortunately, there was enough interest of people that wanted to live at UP that we were able to get out of our lease and moved the hell out! We did lose our security deposit, but it was a small price to pay! Don't even consider it!

Only really dirty people get bed bugs. It's not the fault of the apartment complex that she didn't bathe.
