Thankfully I only had to live here for a month

While searching for some place to live I stumbled across the infamous Town and Four Apartments. As others have mentioned, great location, seemed like a great price, especially with regards to square footage and whatnot.
As others have found, uh....not so much.
We inquired on a unit about a month before we were to move in. We saw the "model unit" which of course is arranged to make everything look great. Well the model unit is pointless since they have 4 different apartment types let alone how many different layouts within those different types. So basically the lady who showed us the model said, "your's won't look much like this, but, you get the idea."
So then I said, "well, when can we see our actual unit or one like it'".
A: "Well, it's occupied and then it needs to be cleaned and you can't see it until it's ready."
Yeah, there is a reason for that, they don't want you to see the place until you are parked out front with a U-Haul and you have no choice. We didn't get to see it until the morning of, regardless of inquiring almost every single day up until then about when we would be able to see it. Another thing was the move-in was on Saturday and they said we HAD to sign the lease by the close of business on Friday.
Well we pull in with our U-Haul to move in on Saturday and lo and behold have the crap isn't fixed yet and it's still dirty. Yeah, nice cleaning. No problem, get someone in here to fix it and no big deal. Oh, but wait, we were told countless times that this unit had 2 bathrooms, one in the basement and one on the top floor. Hmm, the last tenant must have accidentally packed up the downstairs bathroom and took it with them cuz there sure as hell wasn't one down there. This really was a nuisance b/c it was a tri-level and the bathroom was on the top floor. The top floor was also the loft bedroom so that meant if you had any guests over and someone was sleeping they would be trucking through to the bathroom all of the time.
Not only these issues but I agree with most of what the others have said regarding the negative aspects of these units.
If I had to come up with some positives about this place, I would probably be able to come up with these things but only if doing so would result in saving the lives of small children or pets:
-space. Definitely a lot bigger than our last apartment and about $100 cheaper/month. Not necessarily a positive when you factor in the fact that in the summer the top level is never cool no matter how much air you give it and in winter I have heard heating bills for people on multi-levels upwards of $200/month, sometimes even three. (I lived here for a month in the summer so I can't vouge for that).
-location. Nice location. Schnucks within walking distance. Restaurant/Shopping center across the street.
Negatives:
-the things I talked about above
-pretty much everything everyone else listed
Don't live here if you have a choice.
Oh yeah, so we finally got out of our lease after a month since we were told there were 2 bathrooms. The property owners were real a$$es about it and very rude, I considered trying to do more as far as recouping $ for utility connections and U-Haul rental and time and whatnot but didn't want to waste anymore time dealing with these --------.
