Place is horrid

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
We were transfered from our job in Texas and found this place online and the pictures seemed "Beautiful" and safe for our chrildren. What a joke. The apartment that we got was the most expensive on property.
When we arrived - which we paid in advance as the shipping of our furniture was expensive and we needed a "ship to" address to avoid storage fees from the shipping company.... - but needless to say when we got to St Louis. We "had" an apartment. We couldn't live there as the commod in the lower level had been leaking for a long time and flooded the entire lower level. The management company offered to "Wet Vac" the floors and install fans to dry the sheetrock and flooring. (This is just an example of the Brains at work.) Being from TX. We have Mold. Missouri has Mold! A proper cleanup would be to stip the carpet, replace the pad chemically treat the sub floor and sheetrock and if need be replace it - We were told this would be done. The carpeting in the upper level was stained with red ink of some sort. We wanted it replaced before move in. The flooring in the kitchen and foyer was stained and aged yellow with rips and exposed cement. - We were told all of this would be done. The walls had never been repainted from the prior tennants. That "was to be fixed!" We received so many apologies from the staff for none of this being addressed prior to our arrival. We arranged and paid for 1 month in advance - we figured that it would be cheaper than not having a prepaired apartment upon our arrival and storage fees charged by the moving company.
What we got was a disaster! My husband and I had to pay for a hotel for us and our 2 kids with me pregnant! for an entire month and a 1/2. We were ill packed with all of our things in storage. The kids could not start school as we were "Not Offical Residents" of the district. We were slammed with storage fees by the moving company.
This part of the adventure is JUST the tip of the ice berg! When we were told that the repairs to the unit had been "made" we showed to do a walk through. The carpet that had been stained ... They cut the stains out and replaced them with other cuts of carpets along the wall that were not stained - in short just moved the stains for a highly visable space to a less visable space along the wall. We ended up paying to have the lower level properly cleaned. The smell was enough to knock you down. The flooring in the kitchen was "reglued" which didn't stick! with traffic. I hate this place.
The frat parties that whet on to all hours of the day and night. Being forced to park in a shopping market on the other side of the street (olive) and having to walk home because the partier's had completely infested the lot's - plural! leaving no room for the resident's. The beer bottles, broken glass and refuse left by these wonderful parties that went on to the wee hours of the morning! Try getting your kids or yourself any sleep - And the best part in the summer go lounge at the pool (When the Health department says it is clean enough to open, or repairs have been made to the pool and it is working) with your kids only to enjoy a horde of hung over teenagers cursing and moaning about how *(^*&(&* ill they are! and trading sex stories - You would just want to take them and shake them after the night they put you and your family through.
After 1 year we were OUT! Again the story - just the tip there is so much more - lead based paint - faulty wiring - unapproved entrances into your apartment - unannounced! Ever been confronted by a couple of men in your own apartment after getting out of the shower wearing just a towel '! I have!
Then to put the icing on the cake when we left a 9000.00 dollar charge to our credit!
Bastard's the lot of them. Horrible people who treat you in the most disrespectful way. Of course they changed their name. What they did, and do, to people is a crime. I am glad the people of St Louis don't buy this new name change and identity. Tiger's don't change their strips neither has Town & Four. gkZ41df9CgXQPfm8K2A7
