Do Not Rent There

Note that I am not going to rent there as long as the situation is the way it is at present.
I was there to see Edgewater Court and there is still plenty of construction going on on the outside of the homes due to remodeling. They said it should be complete in about 3 months for the outside remodeling of all homes and in about 3 years for the interior remodeling they are planning to do.
The apartments before the current updates were updated in 1968 according to whom I spoke to, and they sure look it. You see the dark brown cabinetry and outdated appliances, old vinyl in the kitchen. The 1 BR/1BA are $630 and the fully remodeled 1 BR/1 BA are $830. I felt that this was too high a price for the condition of the apartments and I told them that price sells and if they want to rent them out, they need to price according to condition, which they are not doing. Also, it's too high a price for the noise factor and other problems during construction which they are also not factoring in.
In the leasing office, one leasing agent was asking me if I wanted to sign a lease today, the deal of a lifetime, etc., like a used car salesman, and I don't operate that way. I told the agent price sells.
I'll allow the facts to speak for themselves, but I do not recommend renting there at all at this time.
