I signed a 3 month lease to live at Greenmar apartments. 615.00 per month plus an additional 100 dollars per month due to the short length of the lease bringing the total to 715 dollars per month. I was informed verbally at the signing of my lease that I was to give 30 days notice if I had plans to RENEW my lease. When I turned in my keys at the end of my lease I was told by the office worker (Gina) that I would receive my security deposit refund within 30 days minus any charges for damages. 30 days passed. I called the office and was informed that I OWED Greenmar 205 dollars and that I have forfeited my security deposit because I did not give 30 days notice that I was moving out. Nowhere in my lease agreement does it state that I have to give 30 days notice before my lease expired that I was leaving! (Nor was I informed of this verbally) When confronted with these facts on the phone, Gina was completey rude, obtuse, and defensive. Furthermore, when you move out, do not bother cleaning anything. I cleaned that dump from top to bottom and am apparently still going to be billed 205 dollars for "items left dirty." I warn those thinking of leasing at Greenmar: !! do not do it!! and I pity those that have already.(good luck getting your security deposit back and bring your lawyer)

Also, be aware that as a tenant, you have the RIGHT under Missouri law to be present at the inspection of your apartment after you move out. Greenmar is obligated by law to inform the tenant of the date and time of the inspection. They will NOT call you. That way they can charge you for items left allegedly "dirty." DO NOT RENT FROM THESE THIEVES.

To Anonymous and Greenmar is Horrible, you are correct you are welcome to be at the move out walk through, ask for an appointment. If your so smart you would have known that before things had even gotten as far as they had. I lived at Greenmar Apartments for 13 years and had no problem asking to set up a time to walk with someone and was also returned my deposit. Since Anonymous wanted to capitalize RIGHT! The apartments also have the RIGHT not to allow short leases Mr. Greenmar is Horrible!!!

Under Missouri law you do not have to ask for an appoinment DOUCHEBAG! Greenmar is SUPPOSED to call you and inform you of when the inspection will be dumbass! BUT, since they are inbred rednecks, they don't do that type of thing, that would be professionial.
