I have lived in Aspen Woods for 10 months and I will not renew my lease. Moving here was the worst mistake I have made (after living in Surgar Pines for 4 years--I left because they kept raising the rents and it was getting dangerous on the parking lots). However, when I moved into Aspen Woods (two days before May 1st!) The carpeting was dirty, there was mold in the shower doors, no globe over the bare lightbulb in the bathroom, cracked countertop in the kitchen, scratches all over the bathroom sink, and the air conditioning failed my 3rd night in the apartment. I had to contact the management office in Clayton before I got the repairs done, and the carpeting was never cleaned to satisfaction. The management company offered to replace my carpeting, but I had already moved in and I would have had to move my furniture BACK OUT AT MY EXPENSE. Also, there seems to be drug dealing or some activity going on, and the guards at the gate let people in without checking anything. Move here at your peril!

I had to threaten to get Contact 2 over here before they replaced my a/c unit.
