I've had the unfortunate experience of living in a lot of apartments but Delrado ranks up there as my favorite.

First off, they allow big dogs (or at least did when I was there) and since you don't find many places that do, if you're a big dog lover or owner, it's a huge plus.

The apartments were spacious. Kitchen was pretty small but the walk in closet in the bedroom and large living room with seperate dining room more than made up for the smaller kitchen.

The style of the place was really cool. Neat Spanish style and stucco plus it was hidden back of Lindbergh so you weren't right there off such a busy street and it was shielded from some of the noise and traffic that passes. The court yards and landscaping was great. Always very clean and well maintained. I use to love to sit outside on a blanket in the spring under one of the big trees and a lot of the other residents did too. We'd all hang out with our dogs or just us and chit chat and relax after work and on weekends. Everyone there was so nice. I think the management did a great job of screening potential renters. When I applied I know I had to provide references so I think that helps keep the riff raff down. Other residents were always very respectful and mindful of others and their property.

The only problem I had was that the guy above me was so loud. He was always (and pardon me here) having sex in every room of the apartment and it was loud all the time. I later found out that a registered sex offender was living there and subsquently arrested for violation of his parole. I found out it was the person upstairs from me (must have been the same person the other review mentioned too because I lived there about the same time).

But, I don't think that really should relect on the apartment complex. I think they really do their best to make it a safe and comfortable and inviting community but they are only human and they can't catch all the bad renters. All in all it was a great experience living there and I always felt safe and at home and would move back there if I ever had a need to.
