To begin, I will mention that I work in property management at another community I will not name. When reading reviews on complexes, consider this. Each of these communities can consist of hundreds of apartments and everyone's individual perception is bound to vary. However, people are more likely to complain than to compliment in any scenario. Have you ever filled out a comment card at a restaurant' Chances are forgetting that you didn't want pickles on your sandwich is enough to earn the restaurant a bad review from you. If everything is as expected, you likely won't comment at all. It's only if you are completely blown away by the service that you will actually write in. The same holds true with apartment ratings. To inspire someone to come to this website and take time out of their life to post, having a nonfunctional dishwasher for a few days may be enough. Unless someone is truly wowed by something, you won't see their review. This creates a misleading figure that would leave you to believe most renters disapprove of the community. DON'T BE FOOLED! 10 complaints on a 400-unit apartment complex does not mean all of the renters are dissatisfied.

As for my opinion, I have lived at Pelican Cove for 2 years and been more than satisfied with the old and the new management. The apartments are probably the newest in the area, the vaulted ceiling is very impressive and a huge selling point for me, and the complex justs looks like home from the moment you drive in. No flat-top roofs and old brick here. These patios/balconies are huge compared to what you normally see from apartments. I have only called maintenance for anything twice in two years. My neighbors are wonderful. I would absolutely never rent anywhere else, and I say that as someone in the industry. As far as safety, I park a brand new Jaguar there and half the time I forget to lock my doors, and I have never had a problem. I highly recommend Pelican Cove.
