I ended up buying out my lease with my tax return so that I could move. The water was orange the entire 6 months I lived there. The front door was so off that you could see two inches of daylight between the top of the door and the frame, not to mention that the wood all around it was so rotten that if you pushed on it the whole door frame would move. The neighboord is quite scary especially at night. There was not enough lighting to make you feel safe walking to your car. There were soft spots in the floor that made me very nervous about living on the third floor. I had to laugh when they told me that I had to leave the mini blinds up vs. putting my own window treatments up because they wanted the buildings to look uniform. The place was a dump to begin with. You also couldn't put any outside furniture on the deck in front of your apartment for the same reason. There were no other outside areas you could go to. The phone lines were so crappy that every phone call I made sounded crackly. The building is old is probably a huge fire risk. The appliances worked ok, but were that wonderful olive green of the 50s. The rent was $300 a month, but I would rather find a roomate than ever go back to that dump again.
