I moved in 04/89 and moved out nearly four years ago.
I was forced to break my lease after many complaints and finally fearing for my safety.
When I first moved in it was clean, quite reasonably priced and safe. It started to get really bad about three years before I couldn't take it anymore. After repeated requests for security on the doors they finally complied, but by this time they had started renting to really awful tenants and only made it more secure for them to commit their horrible behavior and illegal activities. Many times the new locks were deliberatly broken so they would not lock and the doors were constantly propped open by those who clearly had no key or business being there anyway. They started breaking into my storage locker after many years of not having this problem. I actually came home one evening after the new siding had been put on our building to find an idiot teenage boy actually poking holes in it with a pocket knife. They would put out their cigarettes and cigars on the carpet and on the walls. Can you believe it' The last and final straw was when I came home and found two males and one female sitting on the landing rolling Marajuana. They looked at me as if nothing was out of the ordinary, and continued to do what they were doing. The worst part is I knew they did not live in the building. Also, when I first moved there you were not allow to work on cars in the parking lot and that was no longer a rule or at least it was ignored and the cantina and/or rap music blasting was so annoying and rude. The glass on the entry way was filthy and the washers were a joke. I don't know how it is now but I loved living there at first and hated that it got so unbearable I moved to the inner-city to get some peace and feel safe.
