I have been pleased to call Dunwood Acres home for three years & just renewed my lease with the new property manager, Donna. I am pleased with the level of service I received today & look forward to working with Donna through any concerns that have remained from the previous management. Donna's professionalism & dependability has given me a comforting impression.
The maintenance team has been responsive to my emergency request, though my unit rarely demands a maintenance technician.
I take pride in my appearance & my home reflects my meticulous nature. I do not have any pest control issues, the most disturbing insects I encounter are spiders (hate those creepy critters) & silverfish; on such rare occasion that I have been able to dispose of them myself. Although sewer gnats have been an increasing problem for the region, I have not experienced any significant amount in my unit.
I have not experienced any vandalism to my vehicles (aside from a jilted ex) and my visitors feel safe with the parking arrangements as well, especially with the addition of the security lights.
I urge any prospective tenants to visit the community & take into account their personal preference. A few things to consider:
-Hazelwood West is a close neighbor & entertains spectators to sporting events & fireworks (neighbors congregate outside my building w/ lawn chairs & coolers for the display every year). The campus (track, fields, courts) is available for residents to use in accordance with their guidlines. The noise levels from these events are muffled with the doors/windows closed, but not entirely ommitted & our street/lot is utilized for overflow parking.
-There is easy access to nearby highways, shops, & dining establishments; consider the reprocussion of traffic increase & noise disturbance.
-With the variety of location, you may choose a unit overlooking the parking lot to keep watch over your vehicle or one that is more secluded to decrease disturbances.
-As with any building north of the equator, water settles at the bottom increasing the possibility of a flood, move to higher ground if this is a concern.
-The buildings are as dated as the neighboring communities (inc. parallel complexes), they were built tuff in those days, lol. Seriously, I feel I would survive a tornado in my home, the buildings are solid. The appending structures do not appear as sound, but are constantly being upgraded.
-The landscape is well groomed & the debris is properly disposed of as scheduled; we can all do our part by taking pride in our homes & respecting Hazelwood's ordinance on littering.
Overall, my rating is based on my realistic expectation of the product/service purchased. I constantly compare the value of my financial decisions, Dunwood Acres offers a reasonable value.

This is so funny. It was definately written by the owners or a person that works in the office. A real resident wouldn't bother going into details about the schools track and tennis courts. Nice try, but you're not fooling anyone. DON'T MOVE HERE !!
