I am currently a resident at French Quarter Apartments. I have lived here for going on 4 years. I was okay with the apartment when I moved in. There were alot of things wrong, ALOT, but I made a list and everything was pretty much taken care of within a reasonable amount of time. As time has gone on and new managers and what not have come thru (there's been 4 or 5 since I have been here) things have WORSE! For example, I put in a request for some maintenance issues back in October 2007. It is now February 2008 and things are STILL not completed. The office hardly ever answer the phone and when they do answer, they are clueless as to what is going on with anything. They make promises that they never follow through with and have a book of excuses to give you every time you call. It's sad that as much rent as I pay that I have had to deal with this. It's also sad that the reason I am moving when my lease is up is SOLELY BECAUSE OF MAINTENANCE. They have no plans on renovating and if they do the rent will be outrageous. The roofing is horrible, to the point the ceilings are cracking and there are water spots. Maintenance is known for rigging things up, not FIXING the problem as a whole. The appliances are so outdated and it took me over 6 months to get a new dishwasher. The insulation on the windows and porch doors is ridiculous, you can actually feel the air coming thru. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
