I am currently a resident of this complex and will be attempting to break my lease. This past Sunday we were EVACUATED from our homes due to the rains from Hurrican Ike. Now, I am quite aware that the apartment complex has no control over Mother Nautre. But, they do have contol over installing a retaining wall in front of a creek that has flooded MANY times before (just not to this extinct). Also, as the residents stand outside not sure where to go because of losing everyting in their homes, the staff cleans out the pool and THEIR office before starting on the homes (or at least the hallways). They had the GALL to powerwash the driveways while my family and I sludge through mud and sewer water to get back into our soaking homes. They do not make you aware of the creek before signing your lease, and they ACTUALLY put up signs stating that the creek may flood, after we all had been transported out in rescue boats (yes...BOATS). The signs had been posted the night after the flood. Who in the hell is a sign helping after the fact' It is downright disrespectul and infuriating to see maintenance cleaning the outside driveway before attempting to take a look at my flooded home. If you decide to move here, I STRONGLY suggest you purchase flood insurance. But my advice would be to skip this one. Not to mention....they don't fix ----. If they do, you can count on it taking weeks.

I TOTALLY AGREE! I'm a resident as well and I'm going to do everything in my power to move and break my lease! I moved in 4 months ago and this is the 3rd flood. No they do not make you aware of any flooding when you sign up. This is ridiculous. Thank goodness i live on the 2nd floor but i feel really bad for the 1st floor tenants. From people I've spoken with, they say this complex has been flooding for years! and nothing has been done about it. I'm really going to do whatever is neccesary to leave the premises. Now they actually are allowing us to live there still, despite the fact of mold/mildew!

I lived there 9 YEARS, and I was never told it was a FLOOD PLAIN. Oh sure I knew the creek came up, but never once in 9 years did management say anything about that area being a flood plain or advise getting flood insurance. Like everone else I lost everything including my car The managers of this apartment complex are a joke. They were no where in sight when people were being taken out by boat and dumped off on Dunn Road, and yes they were more concerned about cleaning the pool and power washing the sidewalks the day after the flood. Not once did they offer any assistance or even kind word, instead all I got was a alot of eye rolling from the pain in the ass little -------. I could go on and on but for now all I can say is DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!!!!!!
