I stayed at the Lakes briefly and had to move out way before I could enjoy my time there. The short time I was there, I found the management to be very concerned for their tenants. They did extensive background checks, which is good to keep the trash out. When I had to move abruptly, they understood and took care of me. I had a two bedroom/2 bath loft that was amazing. Overlooked the pool and sand volleyball. My friends were really impressed with the apartment. It was a thing of beauty. Fireplace, bedrooms on opposite ends of the apartments for privacy. Ask about the lofts. One problem however, it is located so close to McDonnell Douglas, where they build airplanes, and the airport, so commonly at 4 in the morning they would fire up a plane...after a while you became immune to it. I do recommend. So close to major highways.
