Dirty and Dangerous

I strongly do not recommend moving into Lakewood apartments. The management puts on an act, shows you a very nice model apartment to lure you in, gets you to sign the papers, but fails to tell you that this is section 8 housing. The bad thing is that once you move in, there is no way out of your lease. A good apartment complex would have some restrictions as far as early lease termination and let you leave your lease under certain guidelines, but this will not happen here. Once you move in, your appliances don't work, you get children knocking at your door asking for money because their parents "cars got taken away and they want a home phone", roaches, carpet that unravels and comes up, nats, among the hoosiers that live around you. Management does absolutely nothing to help. Just a tip: When it comes to HUD housing or section 8 housing, apartments don't take action against the tenants because that is their sole source of income. Also, they have had problems with child pornographers. Example: Older men luring around playground and peeping in windows. Good luck finding a good place to live!
