I have been at Lakewood since July 1st, 06. Now I know that apartment living will never be perfect, but if you're going to complain about every little noise, people driving a little too fast, or trash outside someone's door... GET A HOUSE!! Apartments are just that, apartments. Somewhere along the line people started thinking that their apartment should be just as perfect as the house they don't have. Unfortunately sometimes you end up with a neighbor who sucks... that's the chance you take...WHEN YOU MOVE INTO AN APARTMENT.

Anyway, all this negative about Lakewood and I just had to share some positive. I live on 3rd floor, have great neighbors, hear no noise, see rarely any trash, and have had zero problems with my apartment itself. The only downside is the parking, but if that's all I have to complain about, then I feel I'm doing OK.

The staff has been courteous and polite, and the property manager has been wonderful. Come see the place for yourself before accepting the negative B.S. other people say because they live by the not-so-pleasant people.

You don't hear any noise because you live on third floor, the management staff is unbelievably rude when you have to call repeatedly for them to make repairs. It doesn't matter if this is not someone's home that they specifically own, they are obligated by the lease we all sign, including management to make this a habitable dwelling and it is not in the slightest way a safe or healthy place to live.

They are all habitable apartments, very safe and healthy. I have called with maintenence requests fairly often, and they have all been resolved the same day. So maybe you are calling a lot, getting annoying, and/or requesting ridicilous work orders! I have never been treated rudely. Maybe you should sit down, and look in the mirror. Maybe you are the problem. Maybe not.. but we seem to have polar opposite situations. Just remember that apartment communities only have a handful of employees that are hired to change light bulbs, fix a broken blind, fix a dent in the wall... on top of the various serious requests.

They are understaffed there but can get a bit stodgy when you need something though like with anything people have their good days and bad. However it's far from safe at lakewood. The cops are out there for some form of crime or another, literally everday I know it for a fact. I always enjoyed my apartment but the community and parking, crime etc. sucked.

I would like to know what exactly you consider safe because if the police are at Lakewood every day, then maybe they could be there to deter crime and not just responding to crime. As far as the staff is concerned saynotolakewood, I have had no problems, maybe you're one of those people that don't pay your rent!
