These apartments are the equivalent of an inner city ghetto.
The exterior is nice though... you might be inclined to believe it's a nice place to live, but it's not. There are a LOT of low-income families here, section 8 and HUD, but they don't tell you that when you sign the lease....
So you're shafted right from the start and you sign a lengthy lease, so you're stuck.

You have to deal with all the white trash roaming the parking lots, selling drugs... cops out here everyday trying to control the car thiefs and apartments from getting broke into, it's a nightmare. Just call the Jefferson Co. police dept. and ask....

The managers won't do a damn thing about any of it either, you can call all you like but they are here for one thing.. their weekly paycheck, that's it. It was once owned by MLP Properties that did a bit better job of controlling the tenant inflow, but since it's been bought by BPC Inc. the management has let just about any and every one that has the cash available move in. They don't even run credit checks anymore, they charge you for one, but they don't care what it says. They have a maintenance man who is a registered sex offender for crying out loud and they have access to your apartment anytime they want.

I had to deal with the manager -------- recently and I could not believe how pompous and rude this sad individual is.. pathetic. It was the most ridiculous and redundant experience I have had in a long time.

I read the rest of these reviews and I have to agree with all the negative ones, although harsh they are honest.
Save yourself a few bucks and find somewhere good to live, this is not the place.
As for me... rejoice dear readers, my lease is up in two weeks!!! Joy!!!!

Good, I'll be glad when you're gone. Maybe the staff can relax and not deal with petty crap like yours and handle real issues.

The staff never deal with any issues, they just don't care SOB. I agree with you anonymous, I moved out a few months ago and couldn't wait to leave, Lakewood has pretty much gone downhill over the years and the crime is really high there, little to nothing is done about the bad residents, some are really nice but don't watch after their kids and -------- is letting the place go to ruin.

this message is to 1YDNAC.......I can tell from the way you spell your words and messed up all your words that you are probably just an angry section 8 resident. The previous people who have written on here make very valid points. Also, the reason they still moved in although this is Section 8 and Hud housing is because when your in signing your lease they do not inform you of this. If they did tell residence this, many wouldn't sign. On another note I highly advise those who are considering moving in (especially if you have children) to check the sex offenders list, and you will see that they do employ a child molestor at this time who was convicted of touching a little kid. Thats says SO much for these apartments. The manager here is a rude, unprofessional ogor. She doesn't care about the residence here at all, all she cares about is her weekly paycheck. This place is horid, and as far as the drug part goes, the top lot seems to be a meeting ground for all the drug dealers in St. Louis. So long Lakewood, glad our lease ended!!! To the rest of you, hang in there and get the h*ll outta there ASAP!!!
